AppleNBerry recently announced that GEVEY Ultra S now support CDMA unlock and CDMA iPhone 4S On iOS 5.1.1 can be unlocked with GEVEY Ultra S. iPhone 4S users on GSM networks are already has access to the GEVEY unlock after Apple introduced the iOS 5.1.1 firmware update last month. To use GEVEY Ultra S to unlock iPhone 4S on CDMA network requires a jailbreak.
According to AppleNBerry, the CDMA iPhone 4S supports following baseband 1.0.11, 1.0.13, and 1.0.14, which were from iOS 5.0.1 and below, while iOS 5.1.1 baseband range from 2.0.10 to 2.0.12. Currently AppleNBerry’s web only mentions jailbroken versions of iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1 working on the CDMA unlock, and likely hasn’t been updated since the release of untethered jailbreak i.e. Absinthe 2.0.
Also the GSM unlock for the iPhone 4S supports modern baseband. Since there isn’t currently a way to update the iPhone 4S while preserving the baseband, this likely means that the CDMA version will support 2.0.12 baseband as well.
