Android most popular and loved custom ROM CyanogenMod has been updated and first Release Candidate (RC) of CyanogenMod 7.2. download will be available from today. CyanogenMod 7.2 is base on Android 2.3.7 and will bring support for more than 70 device.

CyanogenMod 7.2 brings many new features, many bug fixes such as assorted WiFi fixes, lock-screen updates and improved Calendar reminder options. The list of new supported devices is given below:

- Optimus Black/3D/Hub/Pro/Sol/One,
- Motorola Atrix,
- Sony Ericsson Xperia Live/Pro/Active

How To Install CyanogenMod 7.2 Base Android 2.3.7 On All Supported Devices:
Step 1: First of all download CyanogenMod 7.2 RC1 from here. Each of the 70 supported devices has a separate ZIP, so be careful and download CyanogenMod 7.2 according to your device model and name. Flashing the wrong file can have disastrous consequences.
Step 2: Transfer the ZIP to directly under /sdcard on your device and turn off your phone.
Step 3: Now, by pressing and holding a specific combination of buttons, you must boot into ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery. This combination is different for different devices, so search for your device’s combination on Google.
Step 4: After entering CWM, take a nandroid backup. This will come handy later on if you wish to revert to your earlier set-up.
Step 5: Now from main menu, select wipe data / factory reset. This will wipe all personal data from your device.
Similarly, select wipe cache and wipe Dalvik cache from under advanced menu.
Step 6: From main menu, navigate to install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard and select the file you transferred to /sdcard in Step 1.
Step 7: After flashing, simply select reboot device now from main menu.
If you follow above step by step guide carefully then you will boot you device on CyanogenMod 7.2 base Android 2.3.7.
