The devs of popular SHSH saving software TinyUmbrella NotCom has released a new version for saving your BBTicket of iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPad 3G, iPad 2 3G, iPad 2 CDMA, iPad 3 GSM and iPad 3 CDMA. The reason behind saving the BBTickets is that it will come in handy for a baseband downgrading solution or even a new unlock in the future.
You need to have an iPhone4 or iPad 3G or newer (4, 4s, 4 CDMA, iPad 3G, iPad 2 3G, iPad 2 CDMA, iPad 3 GSM, iPad 3 CDMA)
Go to Advanced -> Check “Overwrite existing SHSH files on “Save SHSH”
Make sure “Request SHSH from Cydia” is UNCHECKED.
For those users who don’t have idea about BBTickets, The device baseband or firmware generate a random number at the time of restoring the device which is sent to Apple en-route to iTunes. Then Apple sends the APTicket / BBTicket SHSH certificate with the number generated which is matched to the number generated on your iPhone. If both the number matches, iTunes prepares the matched certificate and stitches the blobs to the firmware. If the SHSH blobs don’t match the restore process fails and the bootloaders reject the certificate.
For the time being there is no separate configuration available in the TinyUmbrella v5.10.14, so in order to save BBTickets of your iDevice you have to save your iDevice SHSH Blobs and yourBBTicket will also be saved automatically. Here is step by step guide to save your SHSH Blobs:
Step 2: Connect your iDevice to your PC or Mac.
Step 3: Now click on the “Advanced” tab and check the “Overwrite existing SHSH files on “Save SHSH”” option and unchecked “Request SHSH from Cydia” option.
Step 4: Now, simply hit the “Save SHSH” button and you have successfully saved your SHSH Blobs and BBTickets of your iDevice.
