i0n1c Hints To Download KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8 For A Possible iOS 5.1 Jailbreak

As you all know that Apple will release a new iOS firmware update version number 5.1 for the public in next few days along with iPad 3  probably on March 9th this year. Three beta versions of iOS 5.1 have been already released by Apple. When the new iOS firmware will be available for public then one will come to everyone’s mind wether this firmware can be jailbreak or not. Stefan Esser aka i0n1c is a famous iOS security expert and has been of great value to jailbreaking community because of his untethered exploit which was used in iOS 4.3.x. i0n1c advised that everyone should download Kakao Talk Messenger v2.8.8 from App Store which may be useful for jailbreaking iOS 5.1 firmware. In his latest tweet he said that:

I recommend everybody downloads KakaoTalk Messenger version 2.8.8 now, before Apple removes it from the AppStore. Just saying…

recommending you to download KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8 has nothing todo with an exploitable vulnerability that can be used for 5.1 jailbreak

Before mentioning this Stefan Esser aka i0n1c also mentioned about a possible iOS 4.3.5 untethered jailbreak which he didn’t release last year. So, it would be too early to suggest on whether this app has something to do with iOS 5.1 firmware jailbreak or it’s “just another recommendation” just like he did last year. But we still recommend you to download Kakao Talk Messenger version 2.8.2 from App Store and do save a copy of it on your desktop. Users can download KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8 app directly from App Store or from here.
